Proverbs 7

Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Proverbs 7:24.
This means that God wants us to listen to his word and his gospel. He wants us to follow his advice and we will become what he wants for us. God wants us to stop and listen to what he has to say. This week I will try to listen to God's word and commandments. I will try to listen to his words of wisdom.

Proverbs 6

Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched? Proverbs 6:28. This reading means that we cannot do stupid things without being punished. You need to be responsible for the things we do. There are consequences for everything you do, and we should beware of our actions. This week I will try hard to be in control of my actions. I will make sure to think about them before I do them.

Proverbs 4

Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Proverbs 4:14. This means that God wants us to stay on our own path and stay away from those that will bring us closer to our temptations. The closer we get to those that lead us in the wrong direction, the farther we get from God. This week I will try to stay on my own path and stay closer to God, rather than give in to my temptations. I will try to do what I think God wants.

Proverbs 5

Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say. Proverbs 5:7. This means that we should listen to God's advice and stay away from temptations. Many times people turn their back on God when all they need to do is listen to him. This week I will try to listen when God tells me to resist something, and attempt to follow through on what I think he would want me to do.

Proverbs 3

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5. This means that we should depend on God with everything we have and not on ourselves. We should know that he is always right, and we should have faith that he will do what is right for us. Even during rough times, God will do what is best for us. We should believe in everything he does. This week I will try to be happy with everything God has given me and know that he will lead me in the right direction.

Proverbs 2

That you may walk in the way of good men, And keep the paths of the righteous. Proverbs 2:20. This means that God wants us to follow the examples of good people and that maybe we can continue on with what they started. If we continue with what they have done than maybe we can be as honorable as them. This verse stuck out to me because I have a lot of role models in my life that I would love to follow. This week I will try to find someone that is doing good, and follow their example. I hope that it will lead me in the right direction.

Proverbs 1

The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; But the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7. This proverb means that we should fear the Lord because he is all powerful and he decides our fate in heaven. It is also saying that foolish people do not listen to the good advice and guidance they are given. This proverb stuck out to me because I have seen many people misuse and ignore the good advice they are given. This verse is telling us to remember that God has given us the ability to learn everything we have, and we should listen to him. I will try to listen to others wisdom that is given to me, and learn from their advice.
