Proverbs 1
The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; But the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7. This proverb means that we should fear the Lord because he is all powerful and he decides our fate in heaven. It is also saying that foolish people do not listen to the good advice and guidance they are given. This proverb stuck out to me because I have seen many people misuse and ignore the good advice they are given. This verse is telling us to remember that God has given us the ability to learn everything we have, and we should listen to him. I will try to listen to others wisdom that is given to me, and learn from their advice.

Sometimes it's hard to see that others' advice is actually wise and will help us get ahead in life. But if we at least hear out what they are trying to tell us and consider why, it will amaze us how wise and noteworthy their advice is. Never forget though, when in need of advice, the greatest wisdom we will ever be given is right in the Bible.
ReplyDeleteThis week my goal was to listen to the good advice that is given to me. Earlier this week I didn't feel very good and my mother said I should stay home and rest instead of staying up late and finishing a project. I listened to her and because of it I felt a lot better the next day and was ready for the rest of the week. It was a good thing I listened to my mother and took her advice.
