Proverbs 11:8

Proverbs 11:8. The righteous person is rescued from trouble, and it falls on the wicked instead. This verse means that God will save us from our troubles if we do the right things. At some points we might think that we should take the easy way out, but if we do what God wants us to do we will be saved, and those that take the easy way out will be punished. One action step we can take is try to always do what God intends for us. If we do what we want instead, God will not have pity on us. Sometimes we must do the work to get what we want. We can also pay attention to the decisions we make and if we find that we have done something wrong, try to fix it. Everyone makes mistakes, but if we admit we were wrong and make a good effort to make things right, we are more likely to be forgiven.

Proverbs 10:4

Proverbs 10: 4 "Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth." This verse means that we should work hard, and God will give us what we deserve. If we sit around and do nothing, we will get nothing out of life. This is an important verse because many people are very lazy these days and should remember the good things that can come out of hard work. In the future, when we feel like taking the easy way out, we can push ourselves to make ourselves better. It also reminds us that God rewards those that help others,so hopefully this verse can motivate us to do good. Another step we can do is remind the poor that their hard work will eventually pay off, and maybe this will give them extra hope to continue working.

Proverbs 9:12

Proverbs 9:12 " If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer." This verse teaches us that the more we learn, the more we will get. We should not make fun of others, in the long run it will hurt you more than anyone else. It is important because we need to learn to use the knowledge we are given and also realize that hurting others hurts us more than anyone. To help live our this verse we must learn to use the wisdom God gives us. We spend so much time learning about it and need to put the knowledge to good use. We can do all kinds of things like help out the less fortunate. God has taught us what is good, and we need to use his wisdom to help others. We can also treat others with respect. If we are cruel to others or ignore them, it is not just hurting the other person, it is hurting us as well. We need to realize that everyone has struggles and we need to be understanding of them.

Proverbs 8

My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. (8: 19) This verse sticks out to me because it is saying that what God has to offer is better than anything in the world. It is strange to think of picking God over money or expensive things we think we need. Two actions steps I could take would be try to not be so dependent on material things like clothes or ipods. The next time I want to buy more things I can  just remember what is actually important. Another action I could take would be to give some of my clothes and things to a shelter or childrens place that needs the items much more than I do. I could do this because God and his people are much more important than money or materials.

Limited Parking during school- This article would be about the frustrating parking issues many of the students have. Some mornings it is very hard to find a spot or you have to walk a couple blocks in the cold wind to make it to school. If you park in the wrong spot, students are unjustly punished!!!

The Hunger Games- A majority of our students have been reading this exciting series and can't get enough. I could interview students and get their opinion of the books. Also, the movie is coming out March 23 so it could promote the students to spend one of their weekends out with friends going to a movie.
